A Letter from a Child in Times of Uncertainty

A nice letter to God from his child in times of uncertainty. Fear of the unknown. So nice and perfect. I got this from the book I read, "Inner Child Treasures" by Ilsa B. Reyes.

Dear Father,

I am not sure where I am headed. There are many thoughts and feelings bothering me. It is as if I am passing through a tunnel, a "dark night" in my soul.

Infuse the Holy Spirit into me. Grant me the grace to overcome my fears, especially fear of the unknown. Help me be assured that you are indeed holding my hand, and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Teach me to be truly intimate with you and to trust you completely. Bless me with a disposition of surrender as I give you the steering wheel of my life.

Grant me the grace to desire your perfect Will for me, knowing that it is best for me, believing in your love for me and wanting to understand that this Will is also the deepest and purest desire of my heart. May I respond, not out of fear or wanting to escape from struggles, but out of love. I have read that perfect love casts out fear. May this promise be real for me. You are love. Your Son Jesus is Love enfleshed.

May this love be my guide, anchor, and shield during these moments of uncertainty.
