Fantastic Sunday, First Time at Duka Bay Resort as a Family

MARCH 26, 2017

Prior to this day in a prayer meeting, we call it "The Feast", a dear sister invited me together with my family, my wife and our kids to a birthday celebration that will be today. To be held at "Duka Bay Resort", a two-hour travel from Cagayan de Oro City. And so, I said in reply to discuss this to my wife and true enough, we decided to go and said yes to her invitation.

We woke early in the morning, packed up things and sip a cup of hot "Milo" and "Energen" before leaving the house. We went to our meeting place, the house of the birthday celebrant's family.

As we arrived at the meeting place, we were welcomed by the celebrant himself. Wow! He guided us inside their home, stayed on the second floor, where we found their beautiful veranda. It's so spacious and comfortable. And most of all, it's so nice to experience the love of the generous family who invited us to celebrate with them.

Going to Duka Bay Resort, we together with the Light of Jesus Family  rode their Coaster.

Arrived at the beautiful place of Duka Bay, I was in awe with nature. Appreciated much the beauty of the resort. They had preserved it and had improved much. It was not my first time here, but it was our first time together with my wife and kids. It was awesome!

We had fun! Played frisbee with friends, with my wife and my kids also. Volleyball. Swimming. Dancing. Singing. Laughter. And of course with sumptuous food.

Had a fantastic experience also riding Duka Bay's glass boat with my family and friends of the community. Saw the amazing coral reefs, different kinds of fish and some deep, dark blue sea. We saw clown fish, the well known "Nemo". Some blue colored fish and many more. It was awesome to see the beauty of God's creation. Fantastic!

We were there for 7 hours full of fun.

Before leaving the place we took some pictures.

Arrived at our home safely around 8:30PM.

Thank you Lord Jesus, for the gift of fun. The gift of generous people around us. The gift of a beautiful Sunday. The gift of family. The gift of the Light of Jesus Family, our spiritual family. Thank you for the gift of a free, safe, and fun ride with our full of energy, dynamics friends, the youth of the Light of Jesus Family. You are our Awesome God!

Amazing Parents with an Amazing God

Last March 1, 2017, we celebrated the Ash Wednesday mass at Xavier University Church. After the mass, holding hands while walking, with my wife Ev, here's our conversation:

Ev: Pa, it's so amazing that I went to school here at Xavier University. Tatay and Nanay are so amazing to let me enroll and spend my college here. They are just farmers and yet, they sent and afforded me to go college here at XU.
Me: Yes, indeed they are really amazing.
Ev: And it's also amazing that I didn't graduate here at Xavier University.
Me: And why?
Ev: I transferred to Liceo de Cagayan University and there, I met you.
Me: Wow! That's amazing!

Thank you Lord Jesus, your ways are always amazing. Praise God!

My hero. I can't thank him anymore.

I asked my mother when she visited us in our place, just this morning during breakfast. I love to talk and listen every family meal.

I learned something new. Never before, have I learnt this thing.

I praise God for this experience. A real and personal encounter of God's love for me.

Here's the story. I just learned this from my mother.

When she gave birth to this handsome baby boy (ahem!), I wasn't crying like a new born baby should. The midwife did the right procedure, but to no avail. Then, she asked my father to suck the fluids inside my nose. And my father did what the midwife told him to do. Then later, like any other normal baby, I was crying. Praise God!

My father was my hero. Amazing!

But it's too late now. I can't thank him anymore. It's too late for me to know this, my father died many years ago, when I was still a second year high school.

Lord Jesus, thank you for sending me, my father. My hero. My real life experience of Your presence my Saviour.

With love,

Jesse Cadelina

P.S. The picture above are my parents. They are the source my handsomeness (ahem!) and most especially with the love of God that binds them together. Praise be to God!

The Embrace

February 3, 2017

I slept past midnight last night, actually early this morning around 12:30AM. I was so engrossed reading the book, "Inner Child Treasures" by Ilsa B. Reyes.

Before going to bed, I prayed to God to send His Holy Spirit to reveal to me my past wounds and hurts so I can move on to the healing process. In the book it says, "You cannot heal what you cannot feel".

I was trembling in bed, actually on the floor because me and my wife slept on the floor. Yes, we slept on the floor. I was awaken by fear, I can't recall as of this writing, why? But the thought that my wife, Evelyn was beside me, I regained peace and comfort. Much more, I embraced her to physically feel her presence. And true enough, I was able to sleep again peacefully embracing my wife.

Thank you Lord, for the gift of my wife Evelyn. Thank you for the gift of peace and embrace. You were there.
